Luxembourg: Science Festival and about the year of light 2015
On 20 December 2013, the UN General Assembly 68th Session proclaimed 2015 as the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies.
The 10th edition of the Science Festival in Luxembourg took place from the 12-15 of November 2015. It is organized every year by the Musée national d’histoire naturelle (MNHN) and the Fonds National de la Recherche, Luxembourg (FNR). It is open to the public, but also school classes and groups can take part in the Science Festival. The purpose of the event is to present and promote science and research in Luxembourg and to encourage young people and the general public to become interested in and curious about science and technology.
